From a rainfall point of view Charnley Lake is a pretty common place; August is when       you get the most rain here; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Charnley Lake is a pleasant place to camp, Smith River Campground is a pleasant place; there are some perfect whitewater spots on Turtle River. All through the warmest time of the year at Charnley Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
