The yearly rain here at Chapman Lake is about average; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is the month with the least moisture. Get drenched paddling on Eau Claire River, and delightful water scenery is available at Stanley Mill Dam in close proximity to Chapman Lake. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Chapman Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Shady Nook Resort is a delightful       local campground, and you're perhaps into lakes, Chapman Lake 31.0 is one of those nearby. A tremendous place to camp here at Chapman Lake is Pike Lake Resort; if you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Stanley is a fine choice. Don't forget to take a splendid little visit to Little Otter Creek; paddling on Yellow River is so much fun. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Chapman Lake. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures                  drop down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's with temperatures at Chapman Lake dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.
