Americinn Shell Lake is a magnificent place to get some rest; camping at Chain Lake is fine fun, Shell Lake Municipal Campground is a fine local campground. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out nearby Little Ripley Lake, and Country House Motel and RV Park is a wonderful campground here. Chain Lake is a good site of typical rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February       on the other hand is the driest. Summertime at Chain Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's; the nighttime is a little chillier of course, typically in the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are regularly in the 20's; overnight lows at Chain Lake all through the wintertime mostly sink into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful.
