A great place to camp here at Chain Lake is Running's Campground and Bar; unsurprisingly, this is a nice region for people who like lakes, Echo Lake is a lake in close proximity. For the period of the days of summer here at Chain Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. For the period of the winter this place       gets highs in the 10's, and night lows in the-10's for Chain Lake. Indian Chain Creek is a pleasant local stream, and Wisconsin River is a good whitewater spot close by. The yearly rainfall here at Chain Lake is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
