And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting things just keep reading. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Christie Mountain since you're here, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chippewa River. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Granger Lake, and there are great places to explore along       the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Motel - Chetek is a delightful location to get some rest, and you can go for a hike on the Hickory Ridge Trail. Not far from Chain Lake, you'll find Schoolhouse Lake which is a scenic lake, and swing by Cedar Creek it's a glorious spot to explore. This lake is so wonderful. Chain Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Kamp Sugarrbush Bar and Campgrnd is a nice local campground,                  and at Chain Lake you always meet someone from Eau Claire. Camping at Lured In Lodge & Campground is always a tremendous experience; Duncan Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by. The annual rainfall here at Chain Lake is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Dry warm beds await you at Glen Loch Motel, and great hiking is available along the Deer Fly Trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Chain Lake. During the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's.
