Whitewater paddling is good on Popple River, and nearby you come across the Lauterman Trail which is a great hiking trail. Laura-Gordon Lakes Campground is a tremendous campground nearby; not far from Cavour Pond you'll locate Ross Lake which is a lovely lake. There is a good hiking trail next to Cavour Pond called the Dendro Eco Trail; in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water,       you can always go whitewater paddling on Peshtigo River. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Eds Lake Trail System is always a magnificent adventure, and if you're here, you could pop by Bills Creek. And that's not all you can do here at Cavour Pond. Big Joe Campground is a great local campground, and close to Cavour Pond you discover a golf course called Nicolet Country Club. All through the summer months, highs regularly are in the 70's                  at Cavour Pond. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's while Cavour Pond nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the-10's.
