A great site for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Catfish Lake is Chippewa River - West Fork, and lakes are such serene sites, why not explore Teal Lake. So many exciting things close to Catfish Lake, truly extraordinary. Bullhead Lake is a magnificent lake near Catfish Lake, and Chippewa River - East Fork is a great whitewater spot nearby. you need a site to stay Comfort Suites Hayward is a wonderful choice. This lake is so wonderful. At Catfish Lake all through the days of summer highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's.
For the duration of the winter the highs are generally in the 10's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Catfish Lake temperatures dip to the-10's. From a precipitation point of view Catfish Lake is a quite typical place; most of the rain falls throughout August, and February is when it's the driest.

Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail
 | 14 miles away 1 PHOTO The trail is called the Tuscobia State Trail. It runs 74 miles from Rice Lake to Park Falls, Wisconsin. The Trail crosses through Barron, Sawyer and Price Counties. This is a multi-use trail on the old railroad grade of the Omaha Railroad. There are lots of things to do and places to stop along the trail. There is now camping available at several points along the trail including Radisson, and Ojibwa. At Winter, the last remaining railroad depot, built in 1905, will be historically restored outside and inside, it will house a visitor center, there will be trailhead parking, historical displays, and picnic areas.
