If you like skiing, you're in luck; Christmas Mountain is right next door to Castle Rock Lake, and do pop by Silver Lake, it's a wonderful lake. All through the long summer days at Castle Rock Lake temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and the nighttime is a tad cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through       the winter temperatures at Castle Rock Lake plunge into the 0's. The annual precipitation here at Castle Rock Lake is about average; throughout the month of September you get the most rain around here, and January is the month with the least moisture. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Castle Rock Lake has to offer, you can camp at Bavarian Campsite, and after a long day outdoors Country Inn By Carlson Mauston is a great site to spend a                  night or two. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Castle Rock Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Buckhorn Campground Resort is a great place for that, and while you're here, you could also take a look at pretty 17 Reservoir.
