Stay the night at Birch Grove Campground. Summertime highs at Carroll Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 10's with temperatures at Carroll Lake dipping down into the-10's during winter nights. Hummingbird Haven is a pleasant site to get some rest; if you've had       enough of Carroll Lake, Bass Lake is nearby. The annual precipitation here at Carroll Lake is about average; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Copper Range Campground is a wonderful campground here, and hiking along the Pigeon Lake Trail is wonderful fun.
