For you golfers we recommend nearby Lake Forest Recreation Area Golf Course. An average amount of precipitation falls at Carpenter Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the       rain, and February on the other hand is the driest. A lake nearby is 72 Reservoir, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Carpenter Lake; Kentuck-Spectacle Lake Trail is a fine local trail. For the period of the days of summer at Carpenter Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Carpenter Lake are in the 0's.                  This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Chain O'lakes Resort Park is always a brilliant experience, and perfect hiking is available along the Anvil Lake Trail System. Be careful coming to Carpenter Lake, you might not ever wanna return home again.
