It's always fun to stop by Carlin Lake. There are some great whitewater spots on Planter Creek, and a nice close by hotel is Indianhead Motel. Head up to Big Powderhorn Mountain and strap some skis to your feet; a tremendous place to camp here at Carlin Lake is Birch Lake Resort and Campground.

So many entertaining things to do at Carlin Lake, so little time. On a magnificent day at Carlin Lake you can take a hike along the Alligator Eye Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Presque Isle offers some pleasant whitewater.
