If you came to camp Northforest Campgrounds is a nice place to do that; if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Bearskin State Park Trail. Glide       down the rapids of Wisconsin River in a kayak, and there are plenty of people from Merrill here at Capitola Lake. Capitola Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Birkensee Resort is a good local campground; Lake Clara is a perfect lake nearby. For the duration of the warmest time of the year highs here at Capitola Lake reach the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are mostly in the 10's with temperatures                  at Capitola Lake dipping down into the-10's all through winter nights.
