Canthook Lake is a good spot of typical precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is February.       Good hiking is available along the Pigeon Lake Trail; while you're here, you could also explore beautiful Steelhead Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Canthook Lake; North Country Trail is a magnificent local trail.
