Sure, Spence Lake is right next door to Camp Lake, and don't leave Camp Lake without first going for a hike along the Hickory Ridge Trail. Camp Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is September, and February on the other hand is the driest. At Camp Lake through the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in       the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Camp Lake. A pleasant site to camp here at Camp Lake is Northshore Bar and Campground, and there are good locations to look at along the Deer Fly Trail. You're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Fireside Lakes is one of those close by, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Duncan Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There's brilliant hiking along the O'Neil Creek                  Flowage Trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Christie Mountain. During your tour to Camp Lake you'll meet some folks from Eau Claire for sure, and why not take a little tour to Swift Creek since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Chippewa River offers some delightful whitewater, and dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Ladysmith, Wi. Just can't get enough of Camp Lake.
