Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 10's; night lows all through the wintertime for Callahan Lake tend to be in the-10's. From a rainfall point of view Callahan Lake is a rather typical place; August is the       wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a stunning lake called Callahan Lake near Callahan Lake; if you need a place to stay Comfort Suites Hayward is a delightful choice. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chippewa River - West Fork, and why not head up to Christie Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Yep, outdoors amusing things to do are truly bountiful here at Callahan Lake. There's pleasant hiking along the North Country Trail, and Callahan Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Dick-sy Manor is a good site to camp nearby. An out of the ordinary thing to pop by close to Callahan Lake is Callahan Lake Dam; do go to Reed Lake, it's a pretty lake.
