It's always fun to stop by Calkins Lake. While you're here at Calkins Lake you can take a hike along the Deer Fly Trail; Calkins Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Kamp Sugarrbush Bar and Campgrnd is a great local campground. | | at Calkins Lake temperatures are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Calkins Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the-10's.
Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Chetek, and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Duncan Creek. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Chippewa River for all you adrenaline kick people. | |

A glorious place to camp here at Calkins Lake is Loon Lake Camp Grounds; going for a hike along the Hickory Ridge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
Calkins Lake gets a common amount of yearly rain; the
month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail, and there are plenty of folks from
Eau Claire here. You believe that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. You'll hit upon a beautiful lake called Chain Lake near Calkins Lake; the snow is wonderful at Christie Mountain.
