Crosswoods is a great local campground, and nearby you find the Virgin Pine Trail which is a good hiking trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things at Cabin Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Lake Superior Lodge; whitewater paddling is not for everybody       but if it's for you then, we recommend Marengo River. High temperatures at Cabin Lake all through the days of summer are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 10's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Cabin Lake plunge into the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Cabin Lake, you could also pop by close by Moose Lake, and Perch                  Lake Campground is a splendid campground nearby. Go for a hike on the Pigeon Lake Trail. If you need a location to stay Super 8 Ashland is a great choice; Cabin Lake is not the only location close by, Sunken Camp Lake is a close by lake.
