This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Best Western Crivitz Lodge, and Spies Lake is a nearby lake that you could explore. You can run the rapids of Pike River near Butterfly Lake, and do stop at Jug Lake, it's a lovely lake. If you need a site to stay Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Iron Mountain, MI is a great       choice, and you can stay the night at Amberg Campgrounds and Bar. Just can't get enough of Butterfly Lake. There's so much to do here at Butterfly Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Timberline Resort and Campground is a good location for that. Through the warm days of summer, highs generally are in the 80's at Butterfly Lake. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows                  in the 0's for Butterfly Lake.
