This is a nice vicinity for folks who like lakes. Lake Placid is a lake nearby, and Burns Lake is right by the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail. Summertime highs at Burns Lake typically tend to be in the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 10's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's       to Burns Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Bigfish Golf Club is a golf course near Burns Lake, and if you come at the right time of year, Chippewa River - West Fork offers some perfect whitewater. If you came for an overnight stay Lake Chippewa Campground is a pleasant place to camp, and do take a hike on the Virgin Pine Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
