Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Lower Tamarack River, and camping at Gulden's Yellow River Campgrounds is always a delightful experience. Take a hike on the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail, and after a long day outdoors Lodge at Crooked Lake is a fine place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Herzl Camp, and for you golfers       we recommend close by Fox Run Golf Course. Summertime highs at Burlingame Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Burlingame Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Upper Tamarack River offers some great whitewater, and a great nearby hotel is Lodge At Crooked Lake. Burlingame Lake                  really is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Markville Snowmobile Trail, and unsurprisingly, this is a wonderful region for people who like lakes, Bass Lake is a lake in the vicinity.
