It's always fun to stop by Bullhead Pond. The annual precipitation here at Bullhead Pond is about average; of all the months in a year September is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. | | Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do in the vicinity of Bullhead Pond. After a long day outdoors Best Western Lake-Aire Motel & Resort is a tremendous location to spend a night or two, and you can stay the night at Muskellunge Resort.
You'll meet a lot of people from Merrill here, and Spirit River Reservoir WP145 Dam is not far at all from Bullhead Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There are other sites here than Bullhead Pond, for example Mirror Lake. | |

Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Bearskin State Park Trail, and whitewater paddling is perfect on Wisconsin River.
This lake is so wonderful. Muskellunge Creek is a wonderful location to pop by; while you're here you
can play some golf at Edgewater Country Club. Get wet paddling on New Wood River, and The Outpost Campground is a splendid campground nearby. Not far from Bullhead Pond, you'll find Spring Pond which is a picturesque lake; Rodeway Inn & Suites is a wonderful site to get some rest.

This is a 4-5 hour drive from the n/w side of Chicago . . . and *definately* worth it. Some buddies and I go up for a few days every winter and I have to say, this is the best you're going to find without doubling your driving time or hopping on an airplane....
