Sure, Porcupine Lake is close at hand, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Namekagon River. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel Hayward Wisconsin is a great place to spend a night or two, and while you're here and you like golf, you can pop by Hayward National Golf Club. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Bullhead Lake. A perfect nearby hotel is Comfort Suites       Hayward; there are great places to explore along the Pigeon Lake Trail. The amount of precipitation that falls at Bullhead Lake is close to the national average; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Bullhead Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Sunrise Bay Campground is a good site to camp nearby, and you can stay the night at Nelson Lake Lodge. Take a side tour                  to McDermott Brook, and Beaver Bay is not far at all. All through the long summer days at Bullhead Lake temperatures are typically in the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 10's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Bullhead Lake. Don't leave Bullhead Lake without first going for a hike along the Virgin Pine Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Milny Lake.
