Camping at Lake Namakagon Campgrounds is always a good experience, and Lakewoods Resort & Golf Forest Ridges Golf Course is a delightful golf course nearby. Good hiking is available along the North Country Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore close by Atkins Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Gogebic Range. All year is a nice time in the Gogebic Range if you fancy the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Marengo River. Lakes? Sure, Taylor Lake is in the neighborhood.
