If you are in Florence county it's always a good idea to stop by Buckskin Lake. Budget Host Inn Iron Mountain is a pleasant place to get some rest, and get wet paddling on Pine River. A great close by hotel is Pine Mountain Hotel & Resort; Buckskin Lake is right by the Dendro Eco Trail. Buckskin Lake is a good place of common rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout August while February is typically the driest month.

This lake is so wonderful. Keyes Lake Campground is a great campground here, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Lauterman Trail. There are plenty of people from Iron Mountain here at Buckskin Lake, and paddling on Popple River is so much fun.
