Do have a look at Doe Lake close to Buck Lake, it's a beautiful lake, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Concord Inn. At Buck Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 10's while Buck Lake nighttime low temperatures       during the wintertime are in the-10's. Ontonagon River is a good whitewater spot next to Buck Lake, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Alligator Eye Trail.
