Not far from Briss Lake, you'll locate Howell Lake which is a lovely lake, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Crandon Inn & Suites is a glorious site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Alvin Creek Impoundment. An average amount of precipitation falls at Briss Lake; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other       hand is the driest. Paddling on Pine River is so much fun; if you're here, you could take a look at North Branch McDonald Creek. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Briss Lake. Don't leave Briss Lake without first going for a hike along the Kentuck-Spectacle Lake Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Americinn - Iron River, Mi. Summer at Briss Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the                  50's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 10's while the cold winter nights at Briss Lake are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Pine River Campground is a nice local campground, and Ski Brule has great slopes and a friendly staff. If you came for an overnight stay Windsor Dam Campground is a great place to camp, and there's magnificent hiking along the Anvil Lake Trail System.
