Boulder Lake is always a pleasure to visit. A magnificent nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Minocqua, and glorious hiking is available along the Alligator Eye Trail. The amount of precipitation that falls at Boulder Lake is close to the national average; during August this area sees the most rain while February is generally the driest month. What a location this is for outdoors people. An afternoon playing golf at Trout Lake Golf & Country Club is always a delight.
