Boot Lake is a great place to camp, O'Neil Creek Campground is a great place, and people from Eau Claire love to come here. The Hickory Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best; the slopes of Christie Mountain are so inviting noone can resist. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Boot Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Boot Lake; Hay Meadow Trail is a nice local trail,       and Rock Lake Resort and Campground is a wonderful campground here. Boot Lake is a good spot of common rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. High temperatures at Boot Lake through the warm months are in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are usually in the 20's, and night lows during the winter for Boot Lake tend to be in the                  0's. Why not take a refreshing hike along the O'Neil Creek Flowage Trail, and Glen Loch Motel is a fine place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Duncan Creek for all you thrill seekers, and dry warm beds await you at Paradise Shores Resort Hotel.
