Camping is available at West Bay Camping Resort, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Rhinelander Country club Professional. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Holiday Inn Express RHINELANDER is a tremendous place to get some rest, and nearby you hit upon the Bearskin State Park Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail. You       could also check out Lake Julia since you're here at Boom Lake; it's nearby, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Wisconsin River. The amount of precipitation that falls at Boom Lake is close to the national average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Through the warmest time of the year, highs frequently are in the 70's                  at Boom Lake, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's while the cold winter nights at Boom Lake are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. During your trip to Boom Lake you'll meet some people from Merrill for sure, and why not camp at Lake George Campsite while you're here at Boom Lake.
