Man, is there loads of exciting stuff to do right next door to Bolin Lake. Lakes are such serene locations, why not have a look at Manitowish Lake in the vicinity of Bolin Lake, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on Turtle River. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Bolin Lake; of all the months in a year August       is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. Skiing at Big Powderhorn Mountain is one of those things you just must do, and hey, Trout River is a delightful local stream.
