Camping at Bog Lake is pleasant fun, Birch Grove Campground is a pleasant local campground, and a golf course close by is Northern Pines Golf Course. Hummingbird Haven is a glorious place to get some rest, and hiking is a popular       thing to do around Bog Lake; Virgin Pine Trail is a brilliant local trail. Through the warm months at Bog Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Bog Lake.
