If you are in this part of Wisconsin make sure to pay a visit to Bob Lake. Good hiking is available along the Hickory Ridge Trail, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Chippewa River. A fine close by hotel is Paradise Shores Resort Hotel, and don't leave Bob Lake without first going for a hike along the Deer Fly Trail. Bob Lake is a good place of normal rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here; February is the month with the least moisture. There's so much to do here at Bob Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Rock Lake Resort and Campground is a splendid place for that, and Christie Mountain is a great local ski area. coming to Bob Lake, you might not ever wanna go home again. After a long day outdoors Glen Loch Motel is a nice site to spend a night or two, and there are great spots to discover along the Hay Meadow Trail.
This lake is so wonderful.
Barr Lake is a perfect lake close to Bob Lake; Bob Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Brunet Island State Park is a great local campground. This lake is so wonderful. The friendly folks of Eau Claire like to hang out nearby, and get covered with water paddling on Duncan Creek.
