Cedar Hills Campground
 | 18 miles away ...ental nearby, boat rental in Sauk City. Horse trails adjacent, I don't know if you can keep one at camp. Pets allowed, on leash. Ice and firewood available. Many sites have absolutely beautiful views, you won't find this at Jellystone. You also won't find a camp store, organized activities, golf carts, swimming pool, restaurant and bar. This is a very pleasant basic campground. Not much to offer to bored little kids other than that which nature provides. It's not uncommen to see hawks and bald eagles soaring over the valley. From our site this spring we regularly see an adult pair of eagles with their babies. Cool. Interesting aside thing, this is also an operating farm, with cows and corn and tractors and stuff. You have to drive past the barn to get in. Remember to say HI! to the cows, they appreciate the attention. One last thing: Please don't tell anyone else about this pla... |
