Some of the water nearby flows, like Fishtrap Creek, and Barker Lake Golf Course is a nice golf course close by. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Chippewa River - West Fork, and you can go for a hike on the Tuscobia Park Falls State Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Chippewa River - East Fork in a kayak, and there are nice places to discover along the Black       Lake Trail. Don't leave Blue Gill Lake without first going for a hike along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Americinn Lodge Ladysmith. Blue Gill Lake is a good place of common rain; August is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
