Mud Hen Lake is in the vicinity, and Sioux Portage Campground is a glorious local campground. There are wonderful places to discover along the Markville Snowmobile Trail; you're probably addicted to lakes, Wilson Lake is one of those close by. Summertime highs at Blomberg Lake generally tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's       with temperatures at Blomberg Lake dipping down into the-10's through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Minnesota-Wisconsin Boundary State Trail is always a perfect adventure, and if you came for an overnight stay Stuart's Leisure Acres Resorts is a splendid spot to camp.
