At Birch Lake through the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Birch Lake plunge into the-10's. Birch Lake truly is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Going for a hike along the Serley Camp Trail will let you       absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and Birch Lake Dam is a lovely place, beyond doubt worth a visit. Hiking along the Hardwood Trail is delightful fun, and Christie Mountain is a splendid local ski area. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Shady Rest Campground since you're here at Birch Lake; after a long day outdoors Microtel Rice Lake is a delightful site to spend a night or two. If you get bored of Birch Lake, you could also take                  a look at close by Balsam Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Rice Lake Super 8 Motel is a magnificent choice. Camping at Birch Lake is nice fun, Dahle's Campground is a nice local campground, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Namekagon River.
