There's so much to do here at Birch Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Birkensee Resort is a splendid place for that. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful close by hotel is Americas Best Value Inn / Rhinelander, and Snake Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Wisconsin       River. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Birch Lake has to offer, you can camp at Northforest Campgrounds. If you get bored of Birch Lake, you could also visit close by Bear Lake, and there are plenty of people from Merrill here. Summertime highs at Birch Lake typically tend to be in the 70's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Highs all through the winter are ordinarily in the 10's, and after the sun                  is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Birch Lake fall into the-10's. Birch Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is February.
