A pleasant close by hotel is Best Western Holiday House, and Indian Lake is a pleasant lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. Hawkins Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth going to, and lakes are such peaceful locations, why not go to Marengo Lake.

plentiful here at Birch Lake. Good hiking is available along the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail, and you can run the rapids of Marengo River. All through the summertime here at Birch Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 70's.
Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Birch Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Chippewa River Campground is a good site to camp, and Apostle Islands National Lakeshore is a very wonderful place to pop by.
