Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. If you need a spot to stay Lodge At Crooked Lake is a glorious choice, and don't leave Birch Island Lake without first going for a hike along the Markville Snowmobile Trail. The yearly rainfall here at Birch Island Lake is about average; during August this area sees the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Get your heart beating on the tremendous       whitewater of St. Croix River, and if you're here, you could also pop by wonderful Boner Lake. If you came to camp Mallard Lake Resort and Campgrounds is a great place to do that, and swamps can be such exciting sites, check out Kilkare Marsh while you're here at Birch Island Lake. There's so much to do here at Birch Island Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Anchor Bay Camping and Cabins is a delightful site for that, and a golf course nearby is Voyager                  Village Country Club & Bar. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Upper Tamarack River, and dry warm beds await you at Country House Motel. For the period of the long summer days at Birch Island Lake highs are commonly in the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's.
