Don't miss out on a perfect swamp; Kilkare Marsh is right here at Birch Island Lake, and get dripping wet paddling on Upper Tamarack River. Drift down the rapids       of St. Croix River in a kayak. Birch Island Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month is February. This lake is so wonderful.
