This lake is so wonderful. A great site to camp here at Big Portage Lake is Frank's Campground; if you need a location to stay Wild Eagle Lodge is a fine choice. The annual rain here at Big Portage Lake is about average; all through August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with       the least amount of precipitation. If you're a golfer then a glorious nearby course is Gateway Golf Club. Lakes are tremendous; Deer Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Big Portage Lake. At Big Portage Lake all through the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are typically in the 10's; overnight lows at Big Portage Lake throughout the winter                  commonly dip into the-10's.
