Going for a hike on the Anvil Lake Trail System is always a great adventure, and after a long day outdoors Wild Eagle Lodge is a nice place to spend a night or two. At Big Lake during the summer highs are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows through the wintertime for Big Lake tend to       be in the-10's. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are really plentiful here at Big Lake. Why not camp at The Harbor Campground if you're here at Big Lake. If you came for an overnight stay Laurel Lake Campground is a good site to camp; a splendid nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Eagle River. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Big Lake without first going for a hike along the Kentuck-Spectacle Lake Trail, and for you golfers we recommend close by Big Stone                  Golf & Country Club. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Big Lake; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February.
