    What a nice lake Big Lake is. What a location this is for outdoors people. Super 8 Motel - Menomonie is a great place to get some rest, and Lower Dunnville Bottoms is an attention-grabbing thing to catch a glimpse of while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Edgewater Acres Campground is a delightful site to camp, and you'll locate a scenic lake called Long Lake. The yearly precipitation here at Big Lake is about average;  
   the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
There are plenty of folks from Menomonie here at Big Lake. Browning Lake is not far from Big Lake at all, and Menomonie Campground is a delightful local campground. Do explore Schlosser Lake in close proximity to Big Lake, it's a pretty lake, and if you need a place to stay Cobblestone Inn and Suites Durand,WI is a splendid choice.
 
               All through the warm months at Big Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's, and the night is a bit colder of course, ordinarily in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and overnight lows through the winter for Big Lake tend to be in the 0's. An afternoon playing golf at Durand's Rolling Golf Club is always a joy, and there are some magnificent whitewater spots on Red Cedar River.
