This lake is so wonderful. Fisher Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and a golf course nearby is Gateway Golf Club. Tamarack Timbers Cottages is a tremendous spot to get some rest, and if you came for an overnight stay Osprey Campground is a pleasant site to camp. Big Donahue Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February.       Whitewater paddling is great on Ontonagon River; paddling on Ontonagon River - Middle Branch is so much fun. At Big Donahue Lake throughout the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 10's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Big Donahue Lake plunge into the-10's.
