Camping at Perch Lake Campground is always a wonderful experience, and do take a hike on the Virgin Pine Trail. Comfort Suites Hayward is a great spot to get some rest, and not far from Big Brook Lake you'll discover Camp Lake which is a beautiful lake. For the period of the days of summer here at Big Brook Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Brook Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Two Lakes Campground is a great local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Pigeon Lake Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you
then we recommend Totogatic River. An average amount of rainfall falls at Big Brook Lake; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.

 | 16 miles away Water levels must be high to do the Upper Totogatic. Otherwise you'll be dragging your canoe over rocks. But it's very wild and remote.
