There's so much to do here at Benson Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wabasso Lake Campground is a perfect place for that, and Benson Lake is not the only place close by, Dog Lake is a close by lake. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Indianhead while you're here, and get dripping wet paddling       on Black River. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Benson Lake. Stay the night at Lac Du Flambeau Tribal Council, and Comfort Inn Minocqua is a good location to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Americinn - Minocqua, Wi is a wonderful choice, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on Turtle River. The yearly rainfall here at Benson Lake is about average; the month with most of                  the rain is June, and the driest month is February. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs typically are in the 70's at Benson Lake, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
