On a delightful day you can check out Phillips Marsh, a swamp right next door to Benson Lake, and Benson Lake is a great spot to camp, Curve Inn Resort is       a great spot. From a rainfall point of view Benson Lake is a rather typical location; through the month of September you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture.
