If you are in Vilas county it's always a good idea to stop by Bena Lake. The Gogebic Range scenery is always beautiful. Black River has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby, and after a long day outdoors Indianhead Motel is a splendid place to spend a night or two. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Gogebic Range. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Indianhead, and getting to No Mans Creek

If you love the outdoors, you'll love Bena Lake. Bena Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Presque Isle Campground is a wonderful local campground; lakes are such calm places, why not visit Chaney Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Lake Campground is a great place to do that; McFadyen Dam has good water scenery.
For the duration of the summer, highs commonly are in the 70's at Bena Lake. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. During the winter highs are
in the 10's with winter lows in the-10's overnight here at Bena Lake. Bena Lake gets a typical amount of rain; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. These mountains rock, just look at all the fun stuff to do in the Gogebic Range. If you need a site to stay Bluffs Inn is a great choice.
