A tremendous nearby hotel is Super 8 Portage; do go to Park Lake, it's a striking lake. The snow is glorious at Cascade Mountain, and since you're here you can play some golf at Portage Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Becker Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Deer Creek Campground is a pleasant local campground, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Resort Hotel & Conference Center is a great spot to spend a night or two. There's so much to do here at Becker Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Indian Trails Campground is a splendid location for that, and a stunning lake like Cuff Lake is a wonderful place to visit.
