Stearns Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and nearby you stumble on the Virgin Pine Trail which is a nice hiking trail. A round of golf at nearby Lakewoods Resort & Golf Forest Ridges Golf Course is a perfect way to kill some time, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Ole       Creek. An average amount of rainfall falls at Beaver Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain; February is the month with the least moisture. Camping is available at Boulder Lodge Resort, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Chippewa River - West Fork. So many fun things to do at Beaver Lake, so little time. Do have a look at Holmes Lake near Beaver Lake, it's a lovely lake, and on a splendid day you                  can take a hike along the Rock Lake National Recreation Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The North Country Trail is a perfect hiking trail right next door to Beaver Lake, and get your heart pumping on the glorious whitewater of Marengo River. This lake is so wonderful. For the duration of the warmest time of the year at Beaver Lake temperatures are usually in the 70's, and the overnight is a tad colder of course, regularly in the 50's.
