There's so much to do here at Beaver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wabasso Lake Campground is a great location for that; glorious skiing awaits you at Big Powderhorn Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. All year is a great time in the Gogebic Range if you have a thing about the outdoors. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Ironwood is a glorious location to spend a night or       two; you can take a little spree to Shay Dam if you're here at Beaver Lake. At Beaver Lake during the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's while nighttime lows are mostly in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 10's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Beaver Lake descend into the-10's. You can never get enough of the tremendous skiing at Indianhead; if you've had enough of Beaver Lake, Fisher Lake                  is close by. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Pardee Creek is a stream you can go to during your stay, of course you could also visit Catherine Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun things in the Gogebic Range. Stay the night at Big 6 RV Resort and Campground, and you can run the rapids of Turtle River. Americinn - Ironwood, Mi is a pleasant place to get some rest; Black River is a great whitewater spot close by. This lake is one of the great places here in the Gogebic Range.
